Chat with usAbout usSNMH (society of nursing midwifery and healthcare) is made up of current UWL nursing students. Our aim is to improve communication between the different aspects of health and social care for us to better understand the roles we all have and improve our working relationships.We believe it is important for us to support our fellow students as we understand how difficult and overwhelming the course can seem at times. Our events offer students the opportunity to have additional help on assessments and guidance on clinical skills. The committee would like to enhance the experience of healthcare students at UWL and help them feel more prepared with their studies.  Membership£2Events and ActivitiesLast year the committee held a knife crime awareness event had stalls promoting wellbeing and mental health during the #thisgirlcan and UNI mental health day event with Pole Fitness. A workshop was also held to assist with exam preparation for the 2nd year students.This year the committee have already held several workshops during semester 1 and will continue with the workshops into semester 2 to support our fellow students. All our workshops are for members only and currently delivered via zoom with the links sent out on the day via email and the groups what's app chat. We have some pre-recorded videos to help you with your clinical skills and will be putting on some Q&A sessions to answer any questions you may have about your upcoming placement and completion of your PAD.We are currently planning a series of events to run over the Nutrition and Hydration awareness week in March so keep an eye out for updates and to find out how you can get involved and who we are collaborating with. Contact UsIf you would like to find out what we are up to and our upcoming events, please check out our social media pages. Some groups may have additional roles to others, so make sure you check them out!CHAIRPERSON - click hereThis role is new and includes elements of the President and Vice-Presidents roles. It’s been designed to incorporate some of the administration and face-to-face elements that go into running a society. This person will act as the face of the society and will lead by example!GROUP ADMINISTRATOR - click hereThis role is a new role created to reduce the demand on the President and add value to the treasurer role, therefore, it includes elements of the Treasurer roles. It’s been designed to incorporate the behind-the-scenes administrative work and the financial elements that go into running a student group.EVENTS MANAGER - click hereThis person will be responsible for motivating, organising and connecting the Student Groups members. They will provide a wide range and inspiring events throughout the year. They will plan events that bring the student group members together. and/or reward volunteers, are successes in order to ensure the future well-being of the Student Group.COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER - click hereThis person will be responsible for the Student Group communication channels, (inc. Social Media, WhatsApp, Email, Facebook, Website etc....) are maintained and updated with relevant news stories and information.
