About

Imperial College Robotics Academy is a student-run organisation at Imperial College that aims to engage school kids in science and engineering topics from a young age and to promote Women in STEM. Our long-term goal is to increase the enrollment of underrepresented social groups, especially girls and children from low-funded schools, in engineering, science and technology courses at universities. Our main activity is conducting educational LEGO robotics workshops for primary and secondary school students visiting Imperial College. The university students are provided with necessary training to teach LEGO robotics. An important goal of the organisation is not only to have a positive impact on the schools, but also to provide a rewarding experience for the dedicated students who volunteer their time and skills to the organisation. Membership is open to students from any faculty (not just engineering) and everyone is welcome. No prior experience in programming or robotics is required. If you have any questions, contact us at RoboticsAcademy@imperial.ac.uk
