Political Risk and Investment

LSESU PRIS is a society that is dedicated towards hosting events dedicated to the field of political risk and investment. Originally founded with a strategic, military-oriented focus in mind, we have grown to accommodate students from a wide range of backgrounds interested in the interplay between political affairs and economics. We mainly invite guest speakers in IR/foreign service related fields or investment industry leaders to comment on recent geopolitical trends in markets around the world. We believe that these talks can be intellectually stimulating and interesting for students interested in world affairs as well as the political risk industry. Membership PRIS memberships are quite cheap and last 1 full year. For 3 pounds only, you get priority access to PRIS talks which tend to overcrowd judging from last year's experience. We do not host any outside campus events which require payment nor do we feature large scale entertainment events like balls. Events and Activities We have guests scheduled to appear at particular points of the year, those may be co-hosted events or PRIS only. We are co-hosting events with Kings Global Markets and potentially China Development Forum talksWe might host bar nights on Fridays but that may not be a regular event.
