Football Club (Women's)

University College London (UCL)

UCL Women's Football is a fun yet competitive society that brings together students with an enthusiasm for and commitment to football. We welcome all new members to join, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player. We have 3 teams competing in LUSL and 2 in BUCS Leagues, ensuring there are games every week as well as training to enjoy your love for football and to take a break from the uni stress.  For our beginners curious to master the basics or those new to the sport, we have a development squad who play in friendlies. We hold weekly training sessions together as a club and do numerous volunteering and social events throughout the year. Last year, we held volunteering events such as a 'period party', where we collaborated with bloody good period. We also collected tins at training each week. As for our social events, we all look forward to our Sports Night on Wednesdays. Our most successful socials include the Freshers Welcome, the 80s beer pong social, our Pub Quiz for Brave the Shave, our pizza social and of course our annual Christmas dinner. We also organise trips abroad including the Paris tournament in term 2 and Tour in the summer when we all go on holiday together to some exotic place to celebrate our successful year together! This year, because of circumstances related to covid, we will have to do things a little differently. However, we will still be able to train and play games. Additionally, we will be holding weekly virtual socials, online fitness sessions and a lot of other stuff, so make sure you don't miss out! If you won't be in London until January, make sure to get our remote plus membership option to get involved. Look out for us during freshers week and check out our virtual stall at the freshers fair, we look forward to meeting all of you and welcoming you into our beloved club!   Insta: uclwfc   fb: uclwfc    website:    This Club is Pride in Sport Accredited UCL Women's Football Club have signed the Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment Pledge.
