About Canadian & American Law Society
The Canadian American Law Society (CALS) is led by second-year Graduate Entry LLB students to support Post Graduate Law students. We are committed to helping students succeed academically in their first year. We also provide resources and advice about the process of gaining work experience in London and Canada. We aim to create a tight-knit community and for this reason we hold several social events throughout the year.If you want an opportunity to be paired with a  mentor, find out about your options after graduation, gain a supportive cohort of like-minded students, or just meet new people, this is the society for you!CALS' mission is to1) Represent the Members of the society;2) Provide academic support for the students of the society; and3) Organise social events and create a spirit of community in the society.CALS runs workshops on Contract Law, Criminal Law, English Legal System, Public Law, and Tort Law.CALS also runs a student mentoring program, where 1st-year CALS' members are paired with 2nd-year CALS' members.Email: cals@city.ac.ukPresident: Katie Ludwig Finance Officer: Sylvia BurgioCommunications Officer: Jaleeah PierreAcademic Affairs Officers: Hannah Kavoosi, Sharleen NijjarCALS 1st Year Reps: Niaz Sabaghchian & Paneet Atwal
