Our Graduate Development scheme is a structured training programme made up of six key modules designed to support and empower you to develop your career. The modules will support you to develop your leadership and interpersonal skills and enable you to reach your potential. The programme lasts for two years which you will attend in parallel to your permanent job role. This is complemented by technical, on-the-job training as needed, as well as learning directly from experts within our business.

In addition, if you decide to work towards your professional qualification while on the programme, we can provide all the support you require to complete this.

Area of Responsibilities



Attaining the highest H&S standards on site. Lead the site team by example and develop a positive H&S culture. To be measured monthly on H&S performance. To review the safety and quality plan and ensure it meets the highest standards ensuring compliance with the GT business management system (BMS) and health, safety and environmental (SHE) standards.Manage and develop the H&S plan (construction phase) specific to each project in conjunction with the planning supervisor and project manager. Then manage and develop the plan during the construction phase and be measured on performance.Manage risk assessments and method statements for all GT construction activities. Review and control sub-contractors risk assessments and method statements.Identify all existing hazards, underground services, overhead services, earthworks, confined space working and the requirement for permit control. Develop a site-specific plan to manage these issues.Contributing to establishing and monitoring safe methods of working in relation to the services installation.Manage, plan and action Real Toolbox talks on site.Develop the Site Rules and the Site Induction procedure. Ensure all site workers and visitors receive an appropriate briefing.
