Description

Procurement is the process of purchasing goods or services for use during construction, at Mace we work with over 1,000 different suppliers all of which have been chosen around our core values, this has allowed us to create a supply chain which are an extension of Mace. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach with our suppliers ensuring that we are able to fully utilise their skills and expertise to continue to deliver landmark projects throughout the UK and internationally.

Regardless of the scale or complexity of a project, we employ and refine our systems and processes to provide control, governance and transparency from inception to completion. In every decision we make, we challenge and work diligently to find the most efficient and cost-effective outcome. Responsibilities

As a graduate procurement assistant, you will be involved in the support of identifying and managing strategic agreements and relationships with our suppliers to drive a more effective and profitable business. Working as a graduate procurement assistant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Researching the UK construction market, with a heavy focus on LondonDeveloping procurement strategies for board approvalManaging relationships with key suppliers and categories. Identifying and delivering saving and service improvements, Developing business cases for board approvalMarket analysis and report writingSupporting projects throughout the procurement process ensuring a consistent approach across the Mace businessEngaging with both internal and external stakeholders about procurement strategies and processes. Monitoring performance and identifying strategies for continuous improvement.
