We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As an industrial placement student, and whatever you’re studying, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of your time with us. Fidelity is a fantastic place to learn, innovate and grow. They develop the applications and infrastructure that underpin everything from trading and operations to compliance and customer service. And they’re always searching for new and better ideas. During the 12-month Industrial Placement programme - Innovation and Digital Design stream, you’ll be work in one of the following teams:

Global Digital Experience Team

The Global Digital Experience Team create and optimise digital experiences for all of our internal & external clients & customers that deliver measurable business value through the resulting growth and efficiency gains’

The Innovation Team

The Core Innovation Group conducts research and horizon scanning across customer needs, business themes and emerging technologies, to incubate the most value-adding and impactful ideas for our customers and for the organisation. We achieve this through our core offerings of validation and prototyping and by cultivating a growth mindset in our employees.​​​​​​​

Responsibilities

You’ll contribute to positive, meaningful work that make a difference to our clients and employees. You’ll provide invaluable support to your team, too. Depending on the team you join, this may include:Digital Design:Create and implement user journeys and screens for internal systems and toolsCreate graphic designs and digital experiences to be used internally and externallyFlex your stakeholder management skills, gathering requirements, feeding back insights, and completing associated tasks.Develop your skillset and experience across several design areas (UX, UI and graphic design) through tools such as Adobe Suite, InVision and Ceros.Learn how to facilitate user testing sessionsLearn how to engage effectively with the team and stakeholders across the businessInnovation:Conduct conceptual research on new and emerging technologies and trends and identifying the most applicable use cases for FidelityCode and help to build prototype solutionsGet involved with the relevant functional and data analysis activitiesJoin peer-review sessions with your teamDeliver presentations to the innovation team regarding the projects you’re working onDevelop your knowledge of the overall software delivery life cycleLearn how new technologies are brought to life

Analytical thinking and the ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues is important to.We welcome applications from students from ALL degree backgrounds; you do not need a technology related degree. If you’re inquisitive and ambitious, a placement at Fidelity is a great opportunity to discover whether this kind of work is for you.And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak English.We’ll also need you to:be graduating in 2025 (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)have the right to work in the UK at point of application.
