Description
A career as a Storage Engineering Intern includes working within the StoreEver engineering team developing and supporting tape devices, the associated storage software and the development and test infrastructure.
Our internship provides you with an opportunity to gain real world experience and make an immediate impact at HPE. You’ll get assigned meaningful projects, gain exposure to leaders, and connect with other interns. Key aspects of our internship program include learning and professional development, social and networking events, and volunteer opportunities.

- Test and debug of hardware and software, developing associated test tools
- Working with other HPE Storage engineering teams to investigate tape storage solutions
- Become involved in the software development process
- Support the test and development infrastructure, tools and network
Requirements
What you’ll need:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, software development or other IT related field (including a placement year).
- Interest in the following: server and storage hardware and solutions, operating systems, Linux, networks, and communications.
- Some experience in programming.
- Experience in building systems, installing, and configuring operating systems.
- An understanding of networks and network security.
- A methodical approach to debugging and problem solving.
- Ability to create clear documentation of processes, investigations, and test results.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and be available to commence the placement at the beginning of July 2023 for 13 months.
