Description

We are looking for a Risk (Assurance and Monitoring) placement year to join our Policy and Assurance team. Managing risk effectively protects the business and is crucial to our success. As the business grows, we are building out the operational risk management function to ensure sustainable growth.

G-Research invests heavily in controls and therefore there will be plenty of opportunities to develop an in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies.

This is a hands-on position where you will respond to policy and assurance demands and support the design, implementation and rollout of controls across the company.

You will work collaboratively with senior team members, who will be on hand to assist with troubleshooting, providing an excellent learning experience for placement students that wish to launch their career in the field of governance, risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities of the role include:Monitoring compliance with policies and standardsContributing to and updating policies, standards and proceduresRunning regular assurance operational tasksProviding assistance to policy and assurance team membersRaising awareness through planned activities

Requirements

A passion for technologyAbility to write scripts in Python and/or PowerShellExcellent written and verbal communicationAdvanced Excel skillsEnthusiasm for learning and developing new skillsA predicted grade of a 2:1 or above in a computer-focused degree with a Sandwich year (graduation date 2025)
