Description

This a (paid) intern version of our Programme Manager role. It has the same responsibilities but is designed to be part-time and last 3-6 months. We have hired all our interns full-time after they finished their internships!

We are looking to recruit a Programme Manager Intern to help with the running and execution of Encode’s online and in-person programmes, including hackathons, accelerators, bootcamps, and educational events. This role is perfect for an ambitious person looking to move long-term into Operations, Investment or be a founder. This job involves hard work and long-hours, but is rewarding in terms of compensation, upside, personal growth and responsibility.

Responsibilities

work directly under the Head of Research and Programmes.run hackathons, accelerators, bootcamps and workshop events both online and in-person (domestically and overseas);help coordinate with sponsors;coordinate with the Operations team to ensure all event logistics take place;both scout and mentor talented developers and projects;work with the Talent team to make sure the best participants get placed in companies;work with the Investment team to make sure the best projects receive funding and are placed in the accelerators.

Requirements

candidates who progress quickly could grow to leading a particular area of programming (hackathons, bootcamps, accelerators or workshops), manage a particular important protocol, ecosystem or geography or join the Investment or Talent teams.As agreed before joining, the role can be 15-30h a week (with pay adjusted accordingly).the duration of the internship is flexible, but is minimally 3 months and up to 6 months.Current students, ideally part of a university blockchain club or society.Self-motivated and very efficient at getting tasks done;showing a strong desire and determination to grow and succeed;demonstrably hard working and able to work independently;experience of having participated in a hackathon, accelerator, bootcamp (preferably an Encode programme);knowledgeable about blockchain technology, either through working for a blockchain company, being part of a blockchain student club/society, being part of Encode’s community or demonstrable personal investigation;adaptable and able to move fast;confident, out-going and have strong presentational skills;have a demonstrable interest in education.
