Description
New Business & Pensions (NB&P) Team: Athora dares to be different, and the NB&P team holds this message of differentiation and innovation at its very core. This team member will be critical in helping Athora to achieve its ambition of providing best-in-class organic new business and pensions solutions in Europe. The role will span a number of varied projects across new business strategy, new business performance and pension risk transfer solutions (further details below). The programme of initiatives intends to give the successful candidate both a comprehensive introduction to the financial services industry and a high exposure to creative and complex innovation challenges.
Collaboration with Other Functions:
This role will also provide the successful candidate with experience supporting the M&A Team and the Reinsurance Team on a variety of transactions. Furthermore, the candidate will experience collaboration with both group and regional functions across all areas of a corporate financial services environment (e.g., Executive Board, Strategy, Balance Sheet Management, Financial Planning, Risk).

- Go-to-market strategy and governance
- Deep collaboration with other Athora functions
- M&A and reinsurance transactions across existing and new Athora regions
- Integration and collaboration on new business initiatives across the entirety of Athora

Functional or Technical Knowledge and Skill Required
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
- Familiarity and interest in the financial services industry, and insurance specifically
- Familiarity and interest in capital markets (particularly fixed income) and economics
- Knowledge and practical use of coding languages (preferred but not required)
- Technical knowledge of the insurance industry and actuarial topics (preferred but not required)
- Fluency in English (additional fluency in one or more of Italian, German and French is an added positive)
