The AI Research Lab at Bell Labs Solutions Research invites applications for intern positions in machine learning, mathematics, networking, modeling and optimization. The Lab has a long tradition of excellence in research and currently consists of 80 staff members with expertise in algorithmic and computing sciences, network measurement and optimization, information theory and machine learning. This internship is in the Modeling and Optimization Group in the AI Research Lab.

The successful applicants will work with our current team to conduct high quality fundamental research and apply the findings to problems that arise in a wide range of Nokia applications. Likely focus areas include:
- Optimization of next-generation open networks and the Internet-of-Things
Requirements
You have:
- Strong and proven background in wireless or wireline networking, mathematics, or computing sciences
- A natural interest in innovatively applying fundamental tools and methods to focused problem areas such as network optimization
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience writing code for large-scale systems.
