We’re launching our Landsec Internships – exciting new opportunities to join our business with six months of paid work experience. It’s important to us that Landsec reflects the communities we’re part of, which is why our internships aim to give people who might not have previously considered working in the real estate industry the chance to start their career in our organisation. Landsec Internships are entry level meaning it doesn’t matter if you have any work experience, what school you went to, or if you went to university. You might be at the start of your career, or even looking for a change in career. The placements are designed to build your confidence, transferable skills and experience in the world of work, while giving you the opportunity to contribute new insights and perspectives to our business.
Area of Responsibilities

Our Workplace Portfolio team is responsible for overseeing the leasing of Landsec’s office and retail space in Central London, to maximise income and increase the long-term value of our properties. This includes lots of collaboration with teams within Landsec to make sure all of our buildings function effectively and efficiently.
As Workplace Portfolio Intern, you will work within the team to support with day-to-day running of the business area, gaining a good understanding of the role of a Portfolio Manager. This might include attending customer meetings, helping to deliver leasing strategies, contributing to property management reports, compiling information and inputting data into systems.
You will have lots of exciting opportunities to learn in your role as Workplace Portfolio Intern. You will also have the chance to work on a strategic business initiative for Landsec, which might include: customer insights, public realm design, sustainability or new products.
Your responsibilities would involve supporting a Portfolio Manager to deliver clear and concise business plans, along with plans for short and long-term lettings of space. You would work with the team to make sure Landsec occupiers comply with their leases, and ensure that our Property Information Management System (PIMS) is kept up to date. You would assist on a range of tasks that might include: keeping local authorised advised of key information; helping with reporting, surveys, property checklists and energy meter readings; supporting with important business processes such as insurance, dispute resolution, business rates and legal agreements. Overall, you would develop your skills and understanding of a career in property management.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, eager to learn about asset management, and has a can-do attitude. You would have good written and verbal communication skills, and be good with numbers. Ideally you would have some Microsoft Excel skills.
Landsec Internships aim to give you the first step on your career journey into the real estate industry. We’re looking for enthusiastic people who are ready to learn, get involved and make the opportunity their own. You don’t need to have any qualifications or previous work experience to apply for our internships, but you may be asked to demonstrate a good level of written and spoken English.
