We’re looking for the next generation of talented undergraduates to join our team for an unforgettable 10-week internship. An internship at Pearson is an opportunity to bring your own unique perspective as a learner, together with your academic knowledge, technical skills, and enthusiasm, to help create products that help fix the skills challenges faced by learners and educators.

As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team to support real-life projects that bring our products and services to life and are ready to launch to our learners. On-the-job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the 10-week program. Responsibilities

As a Content Specialist, your role may involve:Development of educational content to support teaching and learning for international marketsEditorial tasks including briefing and managing freelancers and checking quality of workCreation of content workflows to ensure on time and to budget delivery of accurate contentUse of content creation tools to make corrections, changes and manage any discrepancies as they ariseEnsuring quality is maintained at various steps through content productionGeneral service management responsibilities such as making changes, answering customer queries, gathering feedback and evidence from our customersBuilding marketing knowledge and insightsAuthor management, commissioning and feedback

Requirements

We are looking for a range of students, including those from non-traditional backgrounds that have an interest in educational publishing or relevant work experience.An interest in editorial process and content developmentExperience or strong interest in working across print and digital formatsFlexibility and enthusiasm, as you will be joining a cross-functional and fast-moving teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated abilities as a “habitual learner” and the ability to influence othersDemonstrated ability to function in a team setting, including contributing to a positive team environmentAble to attend the designated Pearson worksite/office for this particular role and the ability to work from home for the remaining approx. 60% of the time.
