Description
From day one, you will be advancing and contributing to the work of the Cultural Broker Community. Your focus will be on organising and coordinating a range of Cultural Broker activities, as well as preparing a growing suite of support materials and tools. You will also be one of the main contributors to the Community’s Teams site and content development of PCI’s intranet-based knowledge hub.
Your success in the role will rely on your ability to collaborate with a range of multi-disciplinary and multi-national staff across Europe and Asia. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about and contribute your own ideas in organisational development and communication.
The role is offered for an initial period of six months. It is full-time, although part-time arrangements can be considered.
Area of Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Coordinating and organising Cultural Broker and PCI-wide meetings, workshops and other gatherings, including preparation of pre and post-documentation, calendar management, logistical support, note-taking and reporting.
• Managing and animating the Community’s Teams site, including organising and expanding the available information and learning resources, as well as ensuring regular news and updates.
• Supporting the content management of an intranet-based knowledge hub, including sourcing content from PCI staff, editing and publishing content, developing templates and identifying areas for further development of the site.
• Developing communication content, such as drafting text for newsletters. interviewing PCI staff and preparing related stories and presentations.
• Designing, analysing and summarising basic surveys in MS Forms and Excel.
• Contributing ideas and views for the continuous improvement of the Cultural Broker Community and PCI’s organisational development and communication more broadly.
• Providing ad-hoc support on other tasks, as needed.
Requirements
Essential attributes:
• In the last years of study for (or recently graduated from) a university qualification in business management, organisational development, communication, event organisation, knowledge management or similar fields.
• Excellent oral and written English.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary and multi-national staff across many geographies.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage own time and be flexible to handle multiple priorities, managing a varied workload to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative and solution-focused attitude, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Desirable attributes:
• Experience in developing communication deliverables, such as newsletters, articles, videos, podcasts or other outputs. This can cover the content and/or technical aspects.
• Experience in managing intra or extranet sites, involving the preparation and sourcing of suitable content, creation of user-friendly layouts and coordination with IT specialists.
• Interest in public policy and EU, governmental or international affairs.
• Prior professional experience in a similar field.
