Description

The Global Marketing Intern will work in the Core Global Segment Marketing Function and will support our global institutional marketing initiatives. The intern will work with the Senior Global Institutional Marketing Manager to help with the delivery of marketing activities aimed at the pension and insurance segments; initiatives to further establish AXA IM’s Investment Institute; and the promotion of key corporate themes. The role will include working and liaising with various teams such as: the digital marketing team, content team, local marketing teams, sales teams, comms teams and external agencies. The intern will also work on ad hoc marketing projects to gain a wide experience in marketing communications and planning, for example providing support for the implementation of marketing campaigns, both at a global and local level.

Marketing

Responsibilities

Contribute to the implementation of the global marketing strategy to raise the visibility of AXA Investment Managers and of key corporate themes, as well as provide support as required on other key marketing initiatives such as institutional marketing activities for the pensions and insurance client segments.

Main tasks:

Institutional marketing

•   Contribute to the implementation of the global institutional marketing strategy to position AXA IM as a true partner to institutional clients and to the institutional business. This will include:

-   Contribute to the development and implementation of global marketing projects to support the Insurance and Pensions client segments, including global webinars

-   Help and work closely with tier one institutional markets to increase visibility of our key strategies, focusing on fixed income and responsible investing, alongside a comprehensive content dissemination plan

-   Coordinate with global and local teams for content distribution and report on email marketing plans

-   Support with the gathering and maintaining of data and insights from the institutional platforms and data hubs

-   Help with the coordination of institutional events

Investment Institute

•   Help to further the position of AXA IM as a thought leader, raising awareness and credibility of the Investment Institute, the thought leadership platform for AXA IM, and working with Content, Brand & Advertising and Digital teams on the planning and execution of activities

Digital

•   Support with institutional social media campaigns, this will include working across different teams on the creation of social posts, captions, compliance reviews and communicating this to the media agency

•   Work closely with the content team to support the global email strategy, including the use of Eloqua to create email newsletters (Monthly Digest, RIQ, Take 2), building campaign distribution lists and reporting on metrics through a campaign management tool

Reporting

•   Have active responsibility in ensuring all stats from marketing activities and events are maintained and updated on a regular basis

Project management

•   Help the global marketing team to further increase its profile and facilitate access to a global marketing content repository, this will involve taking responsibility for sharing our content internally as well as being a key member in helping to maintain our global marketing SharePoint, and ensuring content is uploaded to IPE Reference Hub and RI.com

•   Suggest/implement new processes, procedures and practices that help the team become a more efficient and effective resource for the AXA IM business 

•   Help manage the team’s overall efficiency by helping to prepare meetings as well as maintaining workflows and pipeline documents as and when relevant. This includes helping to manage budgets in terms of raising PO, processing invoices etc.

Structured development

•   The candidate will have the opportunity to shadow marketing managers over the course of the placement, to learn more about, and contribute to, global marketing strategy and execution within an international asset management business

Skills-based development

•   Over time, the candidate will also take ownership of ad hoc marketing projects to develop project management and broader communications skills. The candidate will also be expected to develop investment knowledge and an understanding of the asset management industry, through exposure to fund management and investment sales teams

Requirements

-   Aptitude and enthusiasm for marketing communications

-   Strong command of the English language, written and spoken

-   Previous experience/interest in financial markets/asset classes is helpful

-   Very strong attention to detail 

-   Good interpersonal skills

-   Strong organisational skills

-   Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 

-   Strong numeracy
