Engineering Materials & Processes Placement (12 Months)

The UK Materials and Processes team consists of a number of different technology groups: Assembly Technology, Composite Technology, Surface Technology, Material Laboratories, Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Test and Metals Technology. Working within Materials and Processes provides the unique opportunity to gain skills across the different technology groups, developing a variety of practical lab-based skills.

The role will require the successful candidate to proactively contribute to ongoing projects and collaborate with colleagues in an international team by undertaking practical activities and tasks within the laboratories. The candidate should have a basic understanding of metallic material characteristics and manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing as the activities undertaken will primarily be within the Additive Manufacturing Metals Technology Team.
