Our Distribution Portfolio Management Office Support placement provides hands-on experience through a 12 week placement.
Area of Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Throughout the placement, you will have the support of a business mentor and manager, who will provide guidance and support to enable you to reach your full potential.
You will be working across the Distribution Portfolio supporting real projects delivering value to the business. You will be exposed to Portfolio Management disciplines including but not limited to, Governance & Reporting, Project Cost Accounting, Budgeting and Project Planning.
Our summer placement students work collaboratively in a variety of contexts, while also taking ownership of their role by working under their own direction to drive action forward. There will also be networking and presentation opportunities, specialist sessions and support from our graduates.
Requirements
We have opportunities for those studying degrees inclusive of; IT, Finance, Business. Our opportunities are open to students who are in their 3rd year of their degree onwards or those who have already graduated.
We'd love you to have some practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector, as well as demonstrable experience of working in a team. You'll also be comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges and should have a genuine interest in SSE and the prospect of a long-term future with us.
