We are looking for a DevOps Intern to join our team for a 6 month contract in the UK, and likely this will become a permanent associates role. You will contribute to Birdie’s cutting-edge Internal Platform, helping support the best technical product in the industry. You will get involved in all parts of the development process with full freedom while surrounded by experts.

There is the option to join us as an Associate DevOps Engineer after the completion of the 6 month internship, this will be at the discretion of our Head of Platform.
Area of Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Contribute to planning of Infrastructure & Security projects
- Architect and Implement Infrastructure as Code
- Maintain and Operate multiple Kubernetes Clusters
- Maintain and Operate large-scale workloads on AWS
- Contribute to Monitoring, Observability and Alarming stacks
- Work with Full Stack Engineers throughout the Development Lifecycle
- Work within a growing and exciting Internal Platform flock
Requirements
- You’re passionate about Infrastructure as Code
- Have basic experience with Kubernetes, AWS or Terraform
- Understand the role of an Internal Platform or Infrastructure Team within an Engineering Organisation
- Stay up to date with the cutting-edge in the Platform Engineering space
- Are passionate about Secure Infrastructure & Deployments
- Have a deep capacity to see things through
- You can operate without ego to discuss, learn, grow, and help others do the same
- You're ferociously curious, love learning new things and teaching others about them
