The Utilities Team at Arqiva are responsible for supporting the water, gas and electricity companies in enabling them to make smarter decisions including network efficiency, sustainability, regulatory adherence and compliance issues. We are helping them to become smarter, greener and more efficient for the future so it’s a role that really makes a difference.

We are a small but highly effective and supportive team who are central to understanding and implementing the UK’s smart metering networks. We love a challenge, enjoy finding solutions and thrive on the work we do in this varied and exciting sector.

Responsibilities

Gain experience in supporting the account management team learning key Sales skills including questioning techniques, qualification methodologies, negotiating strategies and presentation skills. Learn how Utilities play an essential part in the UK economy and delivery of services to consumers whilst understanding the challenges facing the industry; Help grow existing contracts by identifying opportunities for new products and services, and working with the account teams to meet additional customer requirements; Understand customer business drivers and challenges through effective questioning and demonstrating how Arqiva’s solution can help them grow and operate more efficiently; Learn how to understand and interpret contractual wording to advise stakeholders on contractual queries and changes; Support bid opportunities that the Utilities Team are responding to; Become involved with preparing documentation for tracking and documenting all contractual changes to ensure that Arqiva delivers against its contractual obligations; Help manage routine issues and queries with the Utilities contracts in-life.

Requirements

Working towards a minimum 2:2 degree in Law, Business or similar. A genuine interest in contracts and law A willingness to learn, follow processes Good analytical and logical problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills
