Description

The role of the Channel Partner Team Intern will be to support the Channel Partner Team with all existing and new partners. You will be heavily involved in managing our Salesforce CRM, financial and data analysis using tools such as Excel and Qlik and helping the team drive revenue through Front Book (new) and Back Book (existing) partners. You will have the freedom to initiate and manage your own projects to help the business and the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams such as Sales, Sales Engineering, Marketing, SMB and more

Responsibilities

You will support the Channel Partner team and collaborate with other PayPal departments to:

  • Support with Front Book and Back Book team with merchant attachment campaigns for their partners, in co-ordination with Sales, Sales Enablement and Marketing
  • Provide reporting on PayPal’s progress in this sector/channel
  • Support with Marketing initiatives with Partners

In addition, you will be expected to:

  • Be very financially numerate- be able to understand and interpret data, to be able to make decisions based on data and solid business case rationale but also to be able to draw hypothesis, make decisions and drive action where limited data may be available
  • To be able to deconstruct and solve problems, to investigate drivers and figure out ‘why’ things happen
  • Have a keen interest in payments and fintech and an understanding of the main competitive threats

Requirements

  • You will be able to think creatively, communicate efficiently internally and externally; you will have a strong desire to succeed, and to continually develop their personal and professional skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • An interest in business development and sales
  • Undergraduate Degree or part of a sandwich course programme in a business / commercial related subject with expected grade at least a 2:1
