Get to know us, our clients and start learning more about yourself. As a placement student in our tax department, you’ll be connecting with the issues our clients are facing, providing independent advice so they can confidently do what is right and make the best decisions for the future. The constantly evolving landscape calls for an approach that puts what is right first and you will need to push ideas harder and ask difficult questions, giving our clients the assurance they need.

Our Tax practice is comprised of over 15 different teams with over 40 partners, working with clients in sectors including, media and entertainment, technology, finance and non-for-profit. Joining the tax service line, you will be passionate about understanding the issues that are important to our clients and their businesses and helping them do what is right. There’ll be challenges along the way, but you’ll be supported and able to meet each one with a solution. That’s how you excel here.

Our 12-month placement programme in Tax is designed so you can experience life working right at the heart of the business, understanding what we do and giving you real life experiences to take forward into your final year at university and your future career. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll experience during your year with us: You’ll guide clients through complex UK and international tax regimes and help them with everything from the tax compliance process, planning their operational and legal structures, advising on the availability of beneficial tax claims and informing their risk management We’ll help you learn how to interpret complex legislation, deliver strategic solutions and provide our clients with clear advice and recommendations they can count on. You’ll gain hands-on experience, working with a variety of dynamic clients, including organisations in media and entertainment, technology, finance, and the not-for-profit sector Responsibility from early in your career, taking ownership for interesting and challenging client work You’ll develop a strong internal and external network to learn from Working closely with colleagues to provide robust challenge and market leading insights to help clients meet their regulatory needs and business objectives On the job learning, alongside structured training At the end of the programme, you’ll have gained a wide range of skills and experience which will support your learning and development back at university and when you return to the workplace
